What to do: Tours

Take a guided tour with a knowledgable cruceño o cruceña (local man or woman from Santa Cruz) and they’ll tell you all you need to know about their village and the forests, volcanoes and mountains that surround it. There are walking tours through the villages, into the mountains, and to hidden swimming spots. You can use Santa Cruz as a jumping off point to the rest of the lake as well if you’d prefer a private tour by boat to check out the other villages around the lake.
